The Annual Pig Roast and BBQ is coming on Saturday, September 12 at the All Purpose Building and Pool, Oak Ridge. More information will follow in the days ahead. This is a DPD family event for all of our residents, staff, volunteers and friends.
With Annie and Betti’s help, we looked at the list of all meds used by DPD and chose one from each similar instance. Foothold made this field into a drop-down list for us. Now, if you start to type the medication or even just the first letter, it will narrow down the list for you and you can choose the closest one.
After 31 years of dedicated service, we will bid farewell to Kathy DeYoung, longtime Director of Gruenert Center. It is difficult to put into words the impact that Kathy has had on the lives of so many.
I came to my attention that some of the staff have asked for instructions on how to view whether an objective was documented recently or in some cases what the comments were for a particular session. I created a set of instructions for viewing prior dates, looking at the documentation in a weekly or monthly view and how to view progress notes. I’ll put these in your mail boxes for the program binders.
When printing the new IHP form, it will be helpful to print it with both the background graphics and the headers/footers that include the date and page numbers. To do this, when you get to the print preview, look on the left side for the print settings. There should be a plus symbol that says “more settings”. When you click on this, it will allow you to check off the appropriate boxes.
I have attached the new instructions for the updated monthly reports. Foothold made changes which will eliminate the need for us to copy and paste the objectives into the form. I will print these for each of your binders and they will be in your boxes next week. Also, when sending up the IHP, you will not need to print the objectives a second time in order to include an “objective listing”. This only applies if you’re using PPS, since in Foothold it would be the exact same information. The IHP checklist will eventually be updated once everyone is moved over to the new system.
Today’s tip is how to print just the objectives without the IHP form. If you go to “services” and “service” plans, and change it from “data entry” to “reports”- when you go to the “plan index”, you will see in red writing the choice to print the “complete plan” or “one goal at a time”. If you choose “one goal at a time” you can print just the objectives without the IHP form being included.
Angie of Barnett House extended a warm welcome to Fr. Joe to some for dinner and to meet the family. Thanks to everyone for helping to make it a lovely evening. Fr. Joe certainly seemed to enjoy himself as he chatted with each of the residents.
Almighty God, Our loving Father, thank You for the opportunity to celebrate this memorable event of our organization, the DPD. We thank You for giving us fifty long years…united, growing, and in service to our most vulnerable brothers and sisters. We thank You for Your guidance in times we needed You most . As we move forward, bless us Lord with will power and determination so that we will continue to serve with passion and confidence in your guiding hand. AMEN
Megan started out first as a sub at Finnegan House and then at Alexander House as well. Right from the beginning she has been someone to count on and quick to help out in any way necessary. She joined us at Alexander during a time of many changes and difficult situations for some residents because of health issues around every corner However, she jumped right in with both feet and never stopped. In addition to being an amazing employee Megan has other interesting talents and hobbies. Did you know that Megan was a lead singer in a band for 7 years?
