Volunteers making a difference!

January 19, 2016Jefferson Township High School and the Department for Persons with Disabilities held their
3 rd Annual “Dunk for Disabilities” Fundraiser. The students from Jefferson Township High School have given back to DPD in many capacities including an annual food drive, a Carnival for Kids Fundraiser and many hours of volunteer service. In additon to monetary support this event was also a great opportunity for raising awareness for our cause and honoring individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Many residents were introduced and came out onto the court with a warm round of applause bringing smiles to their faces.

In addition to the game itself, there raffles, door prizes, free throw contest and more. It was a fantastic event with all proceeds will make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. None of this would be possible without the help and support of the wonderful and dedicated DPD staff and volunteers.

The DPD extends it's heartfelt thanks to the many donors, staff, family, friends, and volunteers.
