Joseph has been such an asset to the DPD family, first as a residential counselor at Columbus House and now as the new associate director of the Giuliano House. As he learns the ins and outs of his new role he still has been lending a hand at the other programs that need coverage. Joseph is always there with a big smile and a kind word. He is wonderful role model for staff as they learn what it means to serve with a glad and generous heart and he will definitely be a huge contributor to the success of the new residents.
Joseph is the father of 3 children. His wife also works with people with developmental disabilities through the Bergen/Passaic ARC. He came to the US from Kenya in 2002 and in the time he has been here he has touched many lives. In addition to working for DPD he is a lay minister in the 7th Day Adventist Church in New Brunswick and has been instrumental in the growth and success of the church. His many talents include leading Bible studies, preaching and development of the church in general. In addition to this Joseph is also involved in prison ministry in his spare time.
In his own words Joseph “really loves working for the DPD and finds it to be a great joy to serve.” We are delighted to have Joseph as part of the DPD family and are inspired by him and his dedication to the most vulnerable among us.
Congratulations Joseph!
