Hope Eder presents award to Jim Cerny Associate Director of the Alexander House
Jim Cerny, recently received his Certificate of Completion from the College of Direct Support .
Direct Support Professionals are those staff members who work closely with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and acquired brain disorders. These professionals require superior training and continuing education. Direct Support Professionals are trained in values such as inclusion, honored rights, leading self-determined lives and ethical, values-based treatment, among others, are at the core of CDS training.
Jim has completed the College
of Frontline Supervision and Management Training. The goal is to assist individuals to become effective leaders and managers. Its curriculum consists of four courses: Recruitment and Selection, Training and Orientation, Fueling High Performance and Developing an Intervention Plan.
At a recent Program Directors meeting Jim‘s accomplishment was acknowledged with a presentation form HR director Hope Eder. It is people like Jim who is committed to providing excellence that make the DPD what it is. Our congratulations and admiration goes out to him!
