May 29 –
Feast of Corpus Christi The Feast of Corpus Christi, also referred to as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. It is a feast dedicated solely to the mystery of the Eucharist. It celebrates the Real Presence of Christ in the
Eucharist and as such, does not honor one specific event in Jesus’ life.

May 30 – Memorial Day Memorial Day, an American holiday observed on the last Monday of May, honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.
We remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day. We also pray for servicemen and women who presently work to protect us. May God keep them safe with his sheltering grace.

June 2 – Saints Marcellinus and Peter Died 304 A.D. Saint Marcellinus was a priest who lived about 300, probably in Rome. One day, an exorcist named Peter, who was in prison because of his faith in Jesus, asked Marcellinus to baptize the jailer and his family, whom Peter had converted. When the governor learned that Marcellinus had baptized Peter’s converts, he called both men into court. He ordered them to offer incense to the false gods. When they refused, the governor commanded his soldiers to behead them. They were tortured before they were killed. They suffered quietly and joyfully because they loved Jesus and knew that he was waiting for them. Several years later, Constantine, the new Christian emperor, had a church built over the place where these martyrs were buried.

June 2 - The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus The
devotion to the Sacred Heart is one of the most widely practiced and well-known Roman Catholic devotions, taking Jesus Christ's physical heart as the representation of his divine love for humanity. The heart is the center of a person, the place from which he/she makes the choices which will affect the world within them and around them. Devotion to the Heart of Jesus reminds us that it is in His Sacred Humanity that we find the pattern for becoming fully human ourselves.
